“The marble cannot hear your cries,”
Says the
spider to her dined upon flies
Her lips are kissed with throat of
death
She ravages youthfully until none are left
And she weeps
as she drains the passion and zeal
No one left to love, no one
left to feel

The web is calloused in years to come
For rain has come and she
has gone
All whispers have scorched and settled down
To kill
the ribbons and stars upon her crown
She’s choked with hands
not all her own
And cut with thread that seeds have known

“Oh darling, how fragile are you and I?
That this brief
train wreck is riddled with sighs
Oh precious, my heart is
tinseled in dust
That my syphonic syphening is left to rush
How
is it I’ve caused all love to die?”
Says the spider to
her lifeless lies

A poem about being afraid of being alone.
